Sweet Norman

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our sweet boy.  Norman Wade joined our family on March 5, at 7:36 am.  We was a big boy weighing in at 8 lbs 11 oz and measured 20 and 3/4 in long.

Delivery was smooth and I am please to announce that I did it naturally without and meds.  It made for a very empowering experience and made the birth go a lot faster.  I felt (and feel) like super woman.

Sydney LOVES her baby brother.  She thinks he belongs to her.  She likes to hold him and kiss him.  Today she spent the morning trying on his clothes and teaching him to play peek-a-boo!  I never seen anything as beautiful as Sydney interacting with Norman

Norman's namesakes.  Norman's first name comes from 3 different men.  First and foremost, my father.  I cannot think of a better man, or a better example of a husband and father that my dad.  It's hard to put into words all that my father has taught me.  His caring nature is unmatched and I hope Norman grows up watching his PaPa and trying to be like him.  My grandfather was also named Norman.  He was a WWII vet, and an excellent provider for his family.  I hope Norman has his work ethic.  Ryan's grandfather was also named Norman.  This man did something very difficult.  He saw the error of his ways later in life and worked hard to change, something not easily done.  Finally, the sweet woman who trained me to be a temple worker was named Norma.  I admired her and she passed away last year.

Wade is the name of Ryan's best friend.  Wade is funny, caring, and very special.  Wade has an autistic son.  I have seen and worked with a LOT of children with autism and I can honestly say I have NEVER seen an autistic child form as strong of a bond as that between Wade and Goose.  He is also an extremely hard worker and an excellent friend to Ryan.

I'd say Norman has some good people to learn from ;)
